Your trailer door might be locked, but can someone just back a tractor up and drive the whole thing away? Not with a kingpin lock. This lock fits directly over your trailer’s kingpin, blocking any unauthorized tractor from hooking up and hauling off your storage or road trailer. Easy to install, built from durable steel for long-term reliability, and effective enough to stop a hijacking before it starts. Pro tip: hang a flag or colorful string about 3 feet down from the lock to signal to drivers that the trailer is protected. Combine it with a gladhand lock for the strongest anti-theft setup available.

Fits Over the Trailer Kingpin The kingpin lock fits directly over the trailer’s kingpin, the connection point between the trailer and the tractor, physically preventing any unauthorized tractor from coupling with and driving away with your trailer.
Heavy-Duty Construction Built to withstand tampering and forced removal attempts. The kingpin lock is a serious physical barrier, not a token deterrent.
Works Best as Part of a Layered Approach Eagle Leasing recommends using the kingpin lock in combination with a glad hand lock for the most complete protection against unauthorized trailer movement.
Stops Trailer Theft at the Source A trailer can be driven away in minutes if left unprotected. The kingpin lock makes it physically impossible for an unauthorized tractor to couple with and move the trailer, addressing the most direct form of trailer theft.
Protects a Significant Investment Whether the trailer is full of inventory or sitting empty between loads, losing it entirely is a far more costly problem than securing it properly. The kingpin lock is a small investment against a very large potential loss.
Works Together with the Glad Hand Lock For complete trailer security, pair the kingpin lock with a glad hand lock. Together, they secure both the mechanical and air line connection points that a tractor needs to move a trailer.

Yes. Every Eagle Lock ships with keys. Keep them somewhere safe and accessible. If you lose your keys, call your sales rep. Eagle Locks are heavy-duty, so replacement or cutting requires specialty tools.
Every container has a place for you to attach your own padlock. You can use any commercial padlock, but we strongly recommend our 13-pound heavy-duty Eagle Locks for serious protection. Standard padlocks are easy targets. A proper container lock makes a real difference in whether your contents stay where you put them.
