Eagle Leasing expanded its Metro Detroit operations through the acquisition of the container rental assets of Boxwheel Trailer Leasing in September of 2026.
The acquisition includes Boxwheel’s Detroit-area fleet of standard and high-cube storage containers, related handling equipment, and existing container rental agreements. These assets are now part of the Eagle Leasing network and are supported by our Woodhaven, Michigan yard.
For existing Boxwheel container customers, the goal is a seamless transition with no interruption in service. Customers now have access to Eagle Leasing’s larger equipment network and additional fleet resources while continuing to receive local service in the Metro Detroit area.
Boxwheel continues to operate its semi-trailer rental and leasing business separately.
