Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for finding goods and services for the company at the best value regarding quality and prices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Identify suppliers of goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors.
  • Manage inventory and restock goods when needed.
  • Check invoices to ensure accuracy billing and products delivered.
  • Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.
  • Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and preparing documents like quotes, proposals, purchase terms and conditions from suppliers.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress toward goals in managing multiple projects.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills.

Education, Experience, Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in related field preferred
  • Proven experience working as a procurement specialist in the same area required.
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification is a plus but not necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel to all Eagle Leasing locations as needed
